Ingredients
1 cup toasted muesli
1 cup rolled oats
1 cup coconut
1/3 cup self-raising flour
1/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons Cadbury® Bournville® Cocoa, sifted
2 tablespoons sesame seeds
1/3 cup honey (or apple concentrate)
150 g butter, melted
CHOCOLATE ICING
2 cups icing sugar
2 tablespoons Cadbury Bournville Cocoa
hot water
Method
- Preheat the oven to 180°C. Combine all the dry ingredients together in a bowl. For best results, dissolve Cadbury Bournville Cocoa in a little hot water before adding it to other liquids.
- Add the honey and melted butter, and stir thoroughly.
- Press the mixture into a lined 28 x 18 cm slab pan.
- Bake for 20 minutes. Allow to cool in the pan.
- Make the icing. Sift the icing sugar and cocoa together, then add a little hot water to mix to a spreading consistency.
- Cover the cooled base with Chocolate Icing and sprinkle with some extra coconut. Cut into bars.
Note: Before cutting chocolate cakes and slices, dip the knife in hot water and wipe it clean after every cut. This prevents chocolate sticking to the knife.
